Mounting Magnets are designed to mechanically attach to nonmagnetic objects and come in three major types. The first are fixed inside a steel housing and are often referred to as Cup or Pot Magnets. The second type has countersunk or counterbored holes designed for specific screw sizes. Finally, rubber encased magnets (often called Wheel Magnets) provide friction, protect their target's surface, and are excellent at attaching to thin metal, like car surfaces.
