Tariff Update: What It Means for You and How Amazing Magnets Is Responding

What's Changing?  

At the time of this writing, neodymium components imported from China are subject to a total effective tariff of 54%, resulting from several layers of duties and import-related fees imposed by U.S. trade authorities. The U.S. government has also signaled a potential 50% tariff if China does not withdraw its proposed retaliatory tariffs on American goods effective Wednesday, April 9th. Although the next round of tariffs has yet to be officially confirmed, it could still significantly disrupt global supply chains and impact pricing.  

How We're Responding   

At Amazing Magnets, we are actively working with our logistics teams and suppliers to stay closely aligned with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to understand how these tariffs are implemented and what they mean for product pricing and availability.  

Despite our best efforts, the size and scope of these tariffs mean that cost adjustments will be unavoidable in the near term. 

What This Means for Your Orders  

If you have orders in progress, specifically those not yet shipped from China, please be aware that they may also be affected by these new tariffs. We closely monitor all shipments and will reach out individually to affected customers with updates and options.  

For our international customers, we recommend checking with your local customs authorities to determine if these tariff changes will apply to products you import from the U.S. manufactured in China.
